FieldVu Release FV2210 brings a significant update to the Job/Schedule screen, as well as a number of performance enhancements and bug fixes. Let’s take a look at the highlights.
For this release of FieldVu, the Job/Schedule screen has received some attention that not only updates its design to be more consistent with the rest of FieldVu, but also greatly enhances its usability by allowing the User to allocate a specific resource to a Job’s assignment. This gives the Job/Schedule screen more functionality, reducing the need for users to switch to a different screen when they already know which resource will be assigned to that Job.
The overall layout of the Job/Schedule screen has been updated so that users have more visibility and control into the various Job Tasks and the Resource Types required for each Task. By having each Job Task act as more of a header level line on the scheduling component, we are now able to list each of the associated Resource Types of that Task within that line. This then allows users to have a specific date range of that Resource Type within the Job Task if desired. Additionally, users can right-click on any Job Task to Edit or Delete them as needed.
Similar to the original design for the Job/Schedule screen, users can still select the Resource Type for the list on the right side of the screen and drag that onto the desired Job Task. This continues to work for Workers, Equipment, and Groups.
Users are now able to click on any Resource Type in the Schedule component to display a list of Resources on the right side of the screen. This list gives an indication of each resource’s current status so users can discover which resources are available. Users can then drag any resource to assign it to the appropriate Resource Type. If needed, right-clicking on an assignment will allow the User to “Un-assign” a specific resource.
We hope our FieldVu customers will have a great experience with the useful new features in the FV2210 Release.
